A son’s Father’s Day connection to a very public, yet personal, place

This is an interview Tim Russert’s son did on the Today show. In this 15 minute interview, Luke Russert appears to be every bit the man the elder Russert thought him to be.

What strikes me about this video clip is more the connection Luke Russert felt to his father as he reached out and touched the empty Meet the Press chair following Sunday’s one-hour tribute.

Toward the end of this interview, Mat Lauer asked Luke about the moment captured in the photo at the beginning and at the end of this video piece.

It’s very much about the phenomenon of place.
