And once upon a time not so long ago, folks thought going around the world in 80 days was the ultimate travel accomplishment…

It was only the 22nd space shuttle landing in darkness. Fewer than one-fifth of all missions have ended at nighttime; the last one was in 2006.

The view outside the shuttle window must have been quite a site to behold as it dropped back into the atmosphere into more darkness…
