My Daddy

Many of my friends know that for the past 10 or 12 weeks, my daddy has been going through a series of tests. The diagnosis is lung cancer. Non-small cell. Slow-growing.

The doctors have been very deliberate in gathering information and deciding how to tackle the tumor.

This morning he was admitted to Baptist Medical Center for another round of tests and procedures. Assuming those results give us a green light, Daddy will have surgery sometime Wednesday.

I’ve set up a separate blog to keep family and friends apprised of the situation. www.winchellonline.com.

Continued thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

  1. Oh, and I loved the lunch-dinner, dinner-supper esplaination over there. These slickers need straightenin’ out all the time.

BTW, I may lurk there from time to time, but as it was set up fer yer kin, I won’t intrude. Peace be with y’all.

  2. You were the inspiration behind Winchell Online, my friend.

Lots of family will be swarming at the hospital all week. I mean LOTS. Even more CAN’T be with us this week. We’ll need them later, fer shure.

And I have friends like you checking in on the family blog pretty regularly. So feel free to lurk and/or post. Whatever you feel most comfortable doing.

Thanks for your prayers, my friend.

  3. Lou & Tracy,
The prayers go up and the blessings come down.
Our hearts along with yours are overflowing with thankfulness for James great progress. Imagine, already off the venillator and James back to being
    cranky. What a blessing!
This blog is great, Tracy. I’ve checked it several times today and you do a great job of updating and keeping everyone informed. Continuing to pray and sending my love, Betty.

  4. Thanks, Betty. You’re a good friend. We’re back in our little hidey hole right now at the efficiency unit. Lou Etta’s taking a little afternoon snooze. And boy, did we BOTH need for her to take a nap. šŸ˜‰ You’ve seen THAT attitude before…
