U.S. Marshal, Richard O’Connell and Fort Smith CVB Director, Claude Legris accepted the Crystal award on behalf of the U.S. Marshals Museum Steering Committee for its success in making Arkansas home to one of our next great tourism products – the National U.S. Marshals Museum.
Crystal is making her rounds to Fort Smith Noon Excange, The Bass Reeves Statue Committee, and tomorrow she’ll be in Sacred Grounds, and then on to Noon Exchange. She’s like the Stanley Cup. Everybody must put their fingerprints on her before she’s placed in a case awating permanent placement at the U.S. Marshals Service Museum.
Congrats to EFortSmith Magazine and Maryl Koeth at the Van Buren A&P, and congrats to my friend Marilyn Heifner in Fayetteville for being inducted into the Tourism Hall of Fame. In Paris our friends at the Mount Magazine State Park Lodge won a Henry, too. So Western Arkansas had a banner tourism year.
Teamwork, friends. Speaking with a common voice.
