***UPDATED!!!***
Last night I forgot to post a link to the news release announcing 2007 Thunderbirds team. Here t’is.
One of my favorite places is pretty much anywhere I can see and hear military fighters.
Last year, Fort Smith was part of military aviation history when the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performed the team’s first show of the 2006 season.
Capt. Nicole Malachowski — the Thunderbirds first female pilot — flew her very first public appearance over the skies of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Now, Malachowski is a Major. (I THINK she was a Maj. designate when she was here last March.) She’s preparing for her second season in the #3 (right wing) position.
But get this! Malachowski has another female colleague on the team! Maj. Samantha Weeks will be the first solo pilot for the Thunderbirds, in the #6 jet (opposing solo).
YOU GGGGGGOOOOOO, GIRLS!!!!!!!!
But a smiling visitor here to share the love (:, btw great style and design. “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not one bit simpler.” by Albert Einstein.
